Who and What Are Chiropractors?
Chiropractors in Australia are a nationally registered and a regulated healthcare profession. Chiropractic is a drug and surgery free modality of treatment concerned with the diagnosis, management and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system; this includes the effects of these on the function of the nervous system and general health. Based on the teachings of Galen and Hippocrates, the premise that the body can respond appropriately to its environment provided that the nervous system be free of interference. Chiropractic was founded by D. D. Palmer who promulgated a focus on the spinal column and its functioning. In summary, chiropractors focus on the detection and correction of aberrant spinal function and its subsequent effect on how the nervous system controls and coordinates the body in response to its environment.
In Australia, chiropractors are educated in the University sector at an undergraduate and post-graduate level. There is a growing research and evidence base, not only in Australia but throughout international federations. As with other healthcare professions, there are internationally and nationally recognised standards of qualification to enable practice in Australia, and this is part of the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme.
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those related to the spine. It involves manual adjustments and manipulation to improve spinal alignment, alleviate pain, and enhance overall health.
What conditions can chiropractic care treat?
Chiropractic care can address a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, sports injuries, and joint pain. It also helps with general wellness and preventive care.
Our passion and focus is correcting subluxations and helping you live the life you dederve.
Can I have confidence in what Chiropractors do?
Chiropractors undergo rigorous education and training, and they are skilled in assessing and diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions to provide personalized care for their patients.
What is Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle form of bodywork that involves a series of precise movements over specific muscles and connective tissues to stimulate the body's natural healing response.
How can Myotherapy help me?
Myotherapy focuses on the assessment, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves techniques like deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and stretching to relieve pain and improve mobility.
What should I expect during a massage therapy session?
During a massage therapy session, our skilled therapists will use various techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissues, aiming to reduce tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
Do you offer X-Rays and MRIs?
Advanced Correction Chiropractic provides on-site X-rays and can refer patients for our in-house MRI scans when necessary. Our imaging services help with accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning, and our non-claustrophobic MRI system can help relieve the anxiety of confined tunnels.
Our Esaote G-scan MRI system is explicitly designed for musculoskeletal imaging, offering exceptional clarity for joint, spine, and soft tissue assessments. It is particularly effective in evaluating conditions such as fractures, ligament injuries, disc pathologies, and other structural abnormalities. The system's ability to image patients in weight-bearing and recumbent positions provides unique insights into functional alignment and load-bearing issues.
However, the G-scan has limitations compared to high-field MRI systems. It may not provide the same level of detail for detecting microvascular changes, micro-pathologies, or subtle tissue abnormalities, which can be critical in identifying early-stage cancers, metastases, or other systemic conditions. High-field systems are generally more suitable for imaging organs, brain structures, and conditions requiring fine resolution of soft tissues and blood vessels.
While the G-scan is an excellent tool for many orthopaedic and chiropractic cases, patients with suspected metastatic disease, tumours, or complex systemic pathologies may require referral for high-field MRI imaging to ensure comprehensive diagnostic accuracy. If any such concerns arise, we will guide you toward the appropriate imaging services to address your needs."

Cancellations can be made via phone, email, or in person during clinic hours.
Missed Appointment Fees
If a patient fails to attend their appointment without providing the required notice, a missed appointment fee of $50 may apply for consultations.
A missed appointment fee of $100 may apply for imaging sessions such as X-rays or MRIs.
Exceptions will be considered for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Repeated Missed Appointments
Repeated missed appointments may result in a review of the patient’s care arrangement. This includes potential suspension of future bookings until the matter is resolved.
